Bangkok Park Chatuchak Is Right By The Secondary Neighborhoods, Neighborhood XIII, XIV
Bangkok Park Chatuchak Bangkok Park Chatuchak is in the secondary neighborhoods, neighborhood XIII, XIV. This Bangkok park serves the local communities and its clientele is less cosmopolitan than the Lumpini Park.

The size of this Bangkok park is about 200 x 1500 meters, about half the size of Lumpini Park; although Lumpini Park is more rectangular. The Mor Chit BTS SkyTrain station is right here. So, it is convenient to get here. The Kampangpet MRT subway station is also right here.

You have about 1.5 kilometer running loop, a bicycle boat and a children playground. I think this park is pretty decent, clean and is fine for serious runners and joggers.

You have a nice bonus at this Bangkok park; you have the weekend flea market, Chatuchak Flea Market. It has become one of the premier outdoor attraction during the weekend in Bangkok. The flea market starts early in the morning, and you can get here easily by the BTS SkyTrain. At the market you will find tons of local products; most are inexpensive but some are quite expensive.

The market can get very crowded quickly, so get here early in the morning, say about 8:00 am. Young children can hang around the children playground, while one of you continues to stroll through the market.Lastly, if you are a fresh fruit lover, you can visit the Marketing Organization for Thai Farmer fresh fruit market, which locates opposite to the Chatuchak Flea Market; there is the MRT Kampangpet subway station right there. This is where you can get the best fresh fruit in the city. The price is usually higher than elsewhere. I do shop here once in a while for a special occasion.
