Bangkok-Park-Sapan-Taksin Is A New Park Which Officially Will Be Opened, Possibly By The End Of 2007
Bangkok-Park-Sapan-Taksin This is a brand new Bangkok park and it will officially be opened shortly, possibly by the end of 2007. This park is right by the Chao Phraya river and Sapan Tkasin BTS station; so you can get here easily. This park is about 120 x50 meters. It’s a small park but has enough charm of its own. You can do some brisk walking here; short distance jogging is possible but not as comfortable as the Lumpini park.

Neighborhood IX.2 is very close to this park. It is definitely welcomed by the local community here; previous to this landmark construction, the local residents had to travel far to get to a Bangkok park.

There is a hotel shuttle boat pier at the Chao Phraya river end of the park, where you can hop on the shuttle boat to get to the near by hotels including the Oriental hotel. These hotels usually offer a nice lunch buffet. At the Oriental Hotel, lunch buffet is offered at the Lord Jim Restaurant and the Sala Rim Nam (right by the water).

The Oriental Hotel is one of the best hotel in Southeast Asia.

So if you are in the area, do stop by and take a short walk.
