Bangkok Trip to Juldis Kao Yai - A Special Place Worth Visiting

Bangkok Trip to Juldis Kao Yai

Juldis is a mountain resort in the Kao Yai (big mountain) area. It's about 180 km.from Bangkok. This area is also known as the Switzerland of Thailand. Kao Yai is noted for its national park rich with animals (not too wild). It’s opened daily from morning till dusk, and is taken care of by the Kao Yai park rangers.

During weekends, you could see rows of cars cuing at the entrance of the National Park. High seasons are from November through January when the weather is cool to cold. Around Kao Yai, you can expect the temperature to be about 13 degree C at night. This really cool temperature brings tourists here.

Recently, Juldis, a mountain resort had a rock concert, performed by the Bangkok local band. The performance was quite good; they were playing hit songs in the 60’s like the songs from the Beatles, the Eagles, Bee Gees, and others.

The performance was held outdoor, and was started from 18:30 hr. till 22:00 hr. By 20:00 hr. the weather was getting cooler, about 15 degree C and many music lovers started to go to the toilets, which was 500 meters from the performance ground.

This was a serious situation for elderly guests, especially my brother-in-law, an elderly who has difficulties walking. Juldis had no wheelchairs nor golf carts to accommodate the elderly.

I notified the performance coordinators and the resort staffs about my brother-in-law’s situation.

Juldis staffs had taken the bull by the horn and sent for a van to ferry my brother to the nearest toilets. The driver was very dedicated, he drove the van quickly and parked it very close to the entrance of the nearby toilet. I think if he could park the van inside the toilet stall, he would.

Now, this is not a routine situation. Here the resort staffs have come up with a solution that satisfies a special need of the customers;we are not even staying there. They also left the van right by the entrance of the concert ground for other elderly guests needing to go to the toilet.

My brother had to use the van three times that evening; no charge.

All the staffs involved had cooperative expressions and were enthusiastic to assist, especially the driver.

I do not see this type of hospitality very often. This shows the resort has good customer services indoctrination. It shows that staffs at all levels can think and react to a situation and immediately find ways to resolve it, without waiting for orders from management.

So, if you are interested in attending a concert in Kao Yai, the Switzerland of Thailand. Please checkout Juldis.
