At Rama IV Sathon Road, Lumpini Park is across the street

Neighborhood IX.4.1 - Rama IV Sathon (Corner of South Sathon Rd.), Soi Ngam Dupli (Off of Rama IV Rd.),Soi Goethe (A side street off of Soi Ngam Dupli), Soi Si Bamphen (Off of Soi Ngam Dupli),Soi Saphan Khu (Off of Rama IV Rd.)

Rama IV Rd. (Corner of South Sathon Rd.)

At this section of Rama IV Rd., Lumpini Park is still across the street from it, and one can see park lovers early in the morning doing their exercise. You have one MRT subway station right here.

As you proceed southward, there’s a large Mercedes Benz dealer and few other companies. About 100 meters down, there is another entrance to the subway and right next to it you have a nice condo right there. The convenient feature for this condo is not bad at all; you can just walk directly to the station.

Soi Ngam Dupli (Off of Rama IV Rd.)

Please walk on the right side of the Soi; the sidewalks are skimpy and you have constant fast traffics here.

The atmosphere here is not a quiet residential neighborhood; it also looks old and tired. There are local shops near the entrance including a hotel, a large Chinese restaurant and an Italian restaurant.

Soi Goethe (A side street off of Soi Ngam Dupli)

Now, this one has a quiet residential atmosphere, however, I saw mostly private homes.

Back to the main Soi Ngam Dupli, as you proceed further, there’s a new small condo construction site which is almost finished; it does look OK. Then a few steps down, there are two nice condos worth considering.

Beyond that there are one low-cost and a medium range hotels.

Soi Si Bamphen (Off of Soi Ngam Dupli)

There’s a construction site on the right corner with lots of local shops on the left; it’s quite narrow and no sidewalks. I did not see anything I like.

Soi Saphan Khu (Off of Rama IV Rd.)

It’s a quiet enough Soi with no condos or apartments. You have beauty salons, noodle places, and travel agencies. There is a Chinese Language Promotional Association and private homes here.

No condos or apartments.

On the main Rama IV Rd., it’s rather busy with street vendors; fruit stands, Thai pastries, and others with tons of local shops.
