Silom Road (South) Is One Of The Premier Roads In A Premier Business District

Bangkok's Neighborhood IX.1 - Silom Rd. (main),Rama IV (Corner of Silom to Corner of Sathon Rd.) Saladang Rd.

Silom Road (Main)

Silom road is one of the premier roads in a premier business district. It has been a road where most financial companies have their offices. Other company headquarters are also here.

You also have fine hotels, Robinson department store, Central department store, Au Bon Pain (my favorite) sandwich and coffee shop, Starbuck, Burger King, and McDonalds. There are also tons of fine Thai restaurants, Chinese restaurants, Japanese restaurants, and others.

Rama IV (Corner of Silom to Corner of Sathon Rd.)

This is a main road in Bangkok; it goes right by the business district and close to Sirikit Convention center to the east and it goes right by Hua Lumpong Railroad station to the west.

Around the business district (near Silom Rd), you have quite a few high rise office buildings along Rama IV Rd.(southside), and across street from it you have Lumpinee Park. There is a nice hotel at the corner.

No condo in this section.

Saladaeng Rd.

This is a first side street off of Silom Rd. It is an old road with new look; it has quite a few luxury condominiums, plush office buildings, a Salesian Sisters Foundation, an Italian restaurant, and a luxury Thai restaurant.

You also have tons of local shops; an English translation place, a tailor, few beauty salons, grocery stores, and Seven Eleven.

This road is OK with me !
