Sukhumvit Soi 11 is more business than residential...
Neighborhood III - Sukhumvit Soi 11,13
Sukhumvit Soi 11 (Soi=side street)
This is another busy Soi. You have three banks, six hotels, serviced apartments, Thai restaurants, Indian restaurants, Italian restaurants, Korean restaurants, a Japanese restaurant, a German Beer House, pubs, several tailors, a supermarket (24-hr), a pharmarcy, travel agents, a dry clean laundry,
few spas, a beauty salon, three Seven Elevens and other local shops.
About 200 meters into the Soi, you start to have some condos and apartments.
You also have The Women Volunteers Association of Thailand Office, Bangkok Area Revenue Office 8 and office buildings.
There seems to be everything here. The street has two-ways traffic with a sidewalk on both sides. There are vendors on a cart on the side walks; obstructing pedestrians. The street has many things but the traffic noise is much less than Sukhumvit Soi 3.
It’s fine for a short stay. For a long term stay, you should consider condos or service apartments 500 meters into the Soi.
Sukhumvit Soi 13
You have a major construction near the beginning of the Soi; on the left side there are two large condo complexes, on the right side you have a large retail office building (almost finish). Additionally, you also have a large hotel on the left side after the condo complexes. After walking down 200 meters on the narrow two-lanes street, you start to have rows of high rise condos on both sides of the street. There is an Indian restaurant on the left side of the street in the middle of the Soi. Further down there’s a short cut to an adjacent Soi causing constant flow of traffic. It’s quiet enough before the short cut start. There are rows of shops on the main Sukhumvit Rd. including a shopping arcade, Ruamchitt Plaza. Return to
