Sukhumvit Soi 24
This Soi is a star. We start off with the Emporium Department Store on the Corner and the Queen’s Park next to it. The Soi is wide enough to walk on the side of it; there is a few elevated sidewalks. It’s passable.
There are some classy shops on both sides of the Soi as you walked in; there is Supinda, a women fassion place; Lemongrass,
a Thai restaurant; Seafood Town, a seafood restaurant;
Seafood Market, a giant seafood restaurant; Asia Herb
Association, a classy spa establishments; a number of
smaller spas.
There are a number of nice condos, serviced apartments, and apartments; some are opening at the end of 2007. There is also a nice condo named, Vichit-Vadakan (a famous Thai writer). A cute boutique hotel is also here. A few condos have nice restaurants and shops right on their ground floors.
There is an interesting lingerie place here, Marlies Dekkers; it looks like Victoria Secrets of the US.
There are large private homes too.
This Soi has almost everything; a truly high class residential Soi. There is no major grade school here; so no student traffics in the morning. There’s almost no street vendor here. Sukhumvit Soi 26
There’s a nice sidewalk on both sides of the Soi with few local shops near the entrance including an animal clinic. You also have a gas station with convenient store right there. The Soi is quiet enough. There are few hotels and lots of private homes. You also have a dental clinic, an international food restaurant, a few Japanese restaurants, a few spas, a Seven Eleven, and a giant size pub. A number of local shops have their name signs in Japanese, this seems to indicate that there is a small Japanese community in this area. Few condos and an apartment are tucked-in in the middle of the Soi.
