Sukhumvit Soi 35
Sukhumvit Soi 35 is narrow, clean, with lots of private home on large plot; definitely residential. There are 2 apartments on the first 150 meters. Beyond that, the Soi is too narrow to walk safely (for me).
There is a parking lot for the Emporium on the right side near the entrance.
Sukhumvit Soi 39
This Soi is a main short cut from Sukhumvit Rd. to Petchaburi Rd. There is a constant traffics. You have lots local shops on the left and a sidewalk fresh market on the right side near the entrance; this makes it uncomfortable to walk into the Soi.
There are Japanese restaurants, Thai restaurants, Italian restaurants, a French restaurant, a flower shop, a beauty spa, dental clinics, seamstresses, few massage parlors, a Gems & Jewelr outlet, uite a number of private homes, few condos and a large office building.
Many signs are in Japanese and English; a sign of a Japanese community in the area.
It’s a busy Soi but torelable as you walk deeper.
Sukhumvit Soi 41
Miracle Mall (one of the first few supermarkets in Bangkok; over thirty years old) is on the right side of the entrance; on the left, is a new condo complex construction site.
Right now, it’s a bit messy at the construction site but once it is finished (by end of 2007) this Soi will be a gem.
The Soi is narrow but the traffic is light. There are a few nice condos and apartments here along with a number of large private homes on wooded lots.
The Soi is quiet and clean with nice shady trees from both sides; a short walk to Prompong SkyTrain station. You can’t go wrong here.
Sukhumvit Soi 43
It has a clean and quite look right from the entrance. It’s wide enough with room on the sidewalk.
There are few local shops on the left side then you have a condo, and a Japanese school. On the left side there’s a few large homes on large plots, and an international pre-school.
Then, a prominent home with manecure garden and shrubbery; it’s guarded by an armed soldier and police.
As we walked deeper into the Soi, you have more condos and small offices; a few with Japanese signs. There must be a Japanese ommunity nearby. I see no problem.
Sukhumvit Soi 45
Siam Commercial Bank is at left side of the entrance of the Soi. On the right you have an abandon building. The Soi is about 40 meters deep and I have not seen any decent condos here. Let’s skip this one.
