Sukhumvit Soi 6 Has Some Abandon Areas, Then Nice Condos And A Hotel
Neighborhood III -Sukhumvit Soi 6,8,10,12
Sukhumvit Soi 6 (Soi=side street)
The first 150 meters of Sukhumvit Soi 6 you have an abandon building on the left side and an unkempt empty lot on the right side. Beyond that you start to have hotels and nice condos complex again. It’s definitely not my favorite soi, especially its first 150 meters.
However, if you don’t mind the first 150 meters of this soi, then it’s not so bad.
Sukhumvit Soi 8
At the beginning of the Soi you have the subway BTS Nana station. Then you have a few local shops, Seven Eleven, few restaurants including a nice looking French restaurant, a Pizzeria and one open pub (neatly looking). There’s even one cozy boutique hotel near the front of the Soi, condos and serviced apartments.
A new serviced apartment is under construction and will be ready
by the end of this year. This Soi looks clean and quiet;
suitable for family with children. There’s enough greenery
to keep the Soi not too hot. From the end of the Soi to the
Nana BTS Station takes only a 5 minute walk.
Sukhumvit Soi 10
You have Chuvit Garden, a 1000 Sq. meter park at the beginning of the Soi. It’s all green with well manacured grass lawn with plenty of room for walking excercise and leisurely stroll. There are few local shops on the east side a lodge.
There are nice serviced apartments and condos here. The Soi is
relatively quiet and reasonably clean. There is no sidewalk at all. We have to walk on the narrow street; the traffic is not too bad. There are few older homes here and an Evangilical Church of Bangkok at the end of the Soi.
All in all this is a nice residential street. Walking to Nana
BTS station should take less than 10 minutes. There are plenty
of local shops on the main Sukhumvit Rd.
Sukhumvit Soi 12
Another reasonable quiet Soi with the exception of few massage (very private front decor) & Spa establishments near the beginning of the Soi. Walk pass the first 40 meters you have a number of nice apartments on both sides of the street. There is a Thaiquisine restaurant with interesting name,Cabbage & Condom here as well. I ate there and it was not bad at all. In the middle of the Soi, you also have Crep & Co., another restaurant neatly tuck away in a shady garden. The street is narrow and there is no sidewalk; traffic is light. Short walk to Asoke BTS station near the beginning of the Soi. One Seven-Eleven at the front corner.
